Spisak Dance Academy Safety Protocol
SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND POLICIES IMPLEMENTED JULY 1, 2022
- HEALTH AND SAFETY FIRST!
- Face masks will be OPTIONAL for all staff and parents who enter the building.
- Spisak Dance Academy will have a “sanitation station” at our front door for students to use. Hand sanitizing will be required to enter.
- If your dancer or anyone in your household is feeling ill (fever, cough, sneeze, sore throat, etc.), PLEASE DO NOT come to the dancing school. If the teacher sees the student experiencing coughing, sneezing, or runny nose, parents will be notified to come pick up the child.
- We DO NOT have a Lost and Found. Please label all shoes and bags with your dancer’s first and last names. Anything left without a name will be tossed.
- THE LOBBY WILL BE OPEN.
- The lobby will open at 4 pm Monday-Friday and 8:45 am on Saturday.
- Dancers will not be allowed to wait in the hallway. Everyone will wait quietly in the assigned lobby area before classes begin.
- Auto Pay is the preferred method of payment. Cash is also accepted. Please email Tiffany at spisakbilling@gmail.com to submit the Auto Pay form.
- Water bottles may be purchased at the front desk for a $1 donation to Jataba.
- If you are bringing your own water bottle, please make sure your first and last name is on the bottle! All leftover items will be put in the property trash bin at the end of the day. Again, we will not have a Lost and Found box.
- Viewing windows will be open the last week of each month (July-April) for you to view your dancer’s progress.
- DROP OFF/PICK UP PROTOCOL
- If you park, use the large west parking lot.
- Please follow the signs and enter from the west side of the building where the big open parking lot is located. Drop off will be the passenger side of your vehicle closest to our front door. Exit towards the east side of the building.
- Dancers will use hand sanitizer before entering and again leaving the classroom.
- Please have your dancer READY TO DANCE (proper dancewear and hair done) before you drop them off.
- Dancers will bring dance bags into class and place them in the individual taped squares that are spaced around the room.
- Parents may wait quietly in the lobby while their dancers are in class.
- Any late arrivals have to be checked in at the front door with the desk staff. We will walk your dancer back to class.
- Our class assistants will be available for restroom assistance for Combo/K-1 kiddos. The restrooms will be wiped down and hand sanitizer will be used.
- Dancers need to be picked up ON TIME. Unfortunately, we are not staffed to watch dancers after their class times. We will be enforcing this rule, so if you are late the first time, you will receive a reminder. If you are late more than once, you will be charged a child care fee of $1/minute.
- There is NO need or reason for any clothing or hairstyle changes in between classes. If your dancer has ballet, they will need to wear their black leotard/pink tights and hair in a bun for all their same-day classes. We all appreciate your attention to these guidelines so that our dancers will be in a safe and nurturing atmosphere!
